The Bloomington Cultural District

We're building excitement for everyone! Over the next year, the Bloomington Cultural District will transform three blocks in downtown Bloomington into McLean County's destination for arts and entertainment, bringing a world of new opportunities to the Twin Cities. The District's centerpiece is the landmark Scottish Rite Temple, renamed the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in 2002, to be renovated into a modern, comfortable performance hall hosting our own regional ensembles and world-class stars. It will be joined by a new "Creativity Center" offering arts classrooms and offices for area arts organizations as well as a Festival Park for outdoor events and new parking to make it easier for everyone to join the excitement. From welcoming facilities to exciting programming, we want the Bloomington Cultural District to be your center for arts, education and entertainment in McLean County!
