DRAWING & PAINTING

Beginning Drawing

with Tracy J. Montoya

Learn to draw with confidence.  Students will gain an understanding of fundamental drawing concepts, while developing skills in drawing with pencil, charcoal and other   2-D materials.  No previous drawing experience is necessary. 

4 Sessions

Exploring Watercolor Seminar

with Doug Johnson

This seminar is designed for all levels of artists to explore watercolor painting in their personal style.  Investigations explore the medium’s directness and fluidity.  This 2-day program delves into a wide range of watercolor techniques including washes, brushwork and drawing with watercolor pencils.  No previous painting experience necessary.  Repeats welcome.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own images as the basis for individual experimentation.

$75.00/65.00 Members + $38.00 Material fee

CERAMICS

Ceramics Open Studio

with Joe Hooten

Join us every Wednesday from 6:30-9pm for Ceramics Open Studio and continue your clay-play!  Work on your own projects at your own pace.  There will always be an instructor present to assist.  Designed for the student with some previous experience with clay.  Repeats are encouraged!

 4 Classes per session, $75.00/65 Members, $20.00 Material Fee

        (Register for both studios for $120/110.00, + Material fees)

Session #1: Wednesdays, 5/28-6/18  
Session #2: Wednesdays, 7/23-8/13  

 


PHOTOGRAPHY

Canceled Darkroom Photography: Open Lab Canceled  

Take advantage of this rare opportunity to develop your film, make prints, and perfect your traditional darkroom skills.  Must be familiar with darkroom use; some expertise provided.  Darkroom chemistry is included in the material fee.  Participants need to provide their own paper.

Darkroom Photography

with Britten Traughber

Explore your photographic technique while learning the basics of black and white film developing and printing. Shooting assignments, darkroom special effects, and hand tinting will be explored. Students need to bring to the first class their own manual or automatic with manual override 35mm cameras and a roll of professional b/w film ready to be developed.

Beginning Photography with Britten Traughber

Now that you know your camera, begin to develop your skills in photo composition, lighting control, film and format decisions, and processing to create beautiful photos. Learn a brief history of photography and experiment with different techniques to create your vision. Bring a digital or 35mm camera to the first class.
